BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (2017)

**SPOILER ALERT**

It’s taken me just over a month to FINALLY be able to see this film. As you all probably know… Disney is my life so this was a must see. As stated above, I will be talking about what goes on in the film so if you still haven’t seen it, I would probably not read what’s going to follow.

I was expecting this to be exactly the same as the original. I’m happy about some of the changes, however… Not all of them.

I though Emma Watson did the role justice. That was my main worry, most people my age have grown up with her as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series. What is sad is younger children will just see her as a Disney Princess and not Hermione. Anyway back to the review at hand. I thought her singing was really good and overall I enjoyed Emma Watson as Belle. I didn’t think I would to be honest.

The one thing that REALLY annoyed me was near the end when the petal drops and once it’s dropped Belle says that she loves the beast. NO! IT HAPPENS AS THE PETAL IS FALLING.

We all know that the curse says that they will remain cursed for eternity unless the beast learns to love and earn that persons love in return before the last petal falls. I get with the original it was falling as Belle said I love you but surely in the remake they’d still be cursed for eternity as the petal has fully fallen and was just chilling there with the rest of the dead petals. I can’t even deal with this. JUST NO!

That’s probably my only criticism to be honest. I also noticed they added some new songs to this film, I don’t mind it. It gives me some new songs to learn.

I will 100% be buying this when it’s released, and I will probably watch it over and over again.

Oh… I thought the beast looked a bit too old when he turned back into the prince and I expected Gaston to look younger. But hey, we can’t have everything can we?

A broken clock is right two times a day, Cogsworth. But this is not one of those times.
